Sisters We Have Had It Rough

Yes, sisters, didn't it rain. For about 5,000 years.

It rained so much I feel permanently bent over.

Nobody is forgetting about that.

Oh yes it rained. The burden of keeping the species
going fell on us.

And before. Bearing our children in the forest.

And until 1965. Bearing children helplessly

until we died

Nobody is forgetting about that.

We have carried a heavy, very heavy load

Ok to cry

OK to cry.

Willie Mae Thornton, My Heavy Load

Sisters we have had it rough.

Nobody is forgetting about that.
